The library of the DHI Rome is composed of the Holdings History and the Holdings Music History.
Reservation of places in the library
For technical reasons, the library is not currently able to operate on a regular basis. However, we provide a limited number of places in the reading room to our external users who request them at bibliothek[at]dhi-roma.it.
Opening hours: Monday–Friday 9.00 a.m. – 7.00 p.m.
Reproduction service
We provide a reproduction service to all of our external readers within the framework of copyright law. Please contact the following addresses for further information and orders:

The Rules:
- Up to 200 pages a month are free.
- University students can request up to 300 pages a month for free.
- Italian copyright laws are however applicable, therefore only part of a book (up to 15%) can be scanned.
- Musical scores may not be scanned.
Should circumstances render us short-staffed, we reserve the right to scale down this service.
Historical Collection (before 1850)
For the purpose of preservation, ancient books are located in a separate room. In order to consult a publication preceding 1850, please speak to a library staff member.

These books may only be consulted in the reading room while using the protective equipment available in the library.
